You will need to request an expedite from the embassy once they receive your petition.

That’s not true, from what I’ve witnessed. I’ve seen cases get approved by NVC to move forward to the embassy then embassy schedules their interviews.

Nvc receives the expedite requests and forward it over to embassy, but they don’t have to. They could just look at the requests and decide it’s not good enough a reason.

Not correct.  NVC has no authority to approve or reject request -- they only operate on Embassy instructions.

I’m trying to respond to a particular comment, but don’t how. I want to say this. When a petition reaches the NVC level, you could then put in a expedite request. It is up to the Embassy to approve a expedite request. Once it’s approved, then NVC will forward it over to the embassy. Please stop misinforming people

Hey itzemo- I am in the same situation.. awaiting for response from NVC.F2A..DQ May 2020..applied on 14-Aug.

 

Has anyone recently received expedite interview approval that deals with   Mumbai consulate ? How long did it take to get an interview letter after the approval? Thank you.
