You can call to get updates but that is about it. As another member on here said... an approved expedite does NOT mean things will be fast or immediate. We have seen people with approved updates still have to wait weeks.

You mean it is in transit to the embassy? How/why did you ask for an expedite? They can't grant an expedite for a case they don't yet have.

Regardless, only thing to do is wait. Like I mentioned before, expedites can only do so much. Things still need to happen. It may still take some time.

That is not the process for expediting at the embassy level.  Like @Unlockable said, they cannot expedite a petition that they don't have yet.

You will need to request an expedite from the embassy once they receive your petition.

This is not really accurate for many cases.  If the case is at NVC, you submit the expedite request to NVC. They have no authority to approve expedites, however. They submit your expedite request to the Embassy and, if the Embassy agrees to the expedite, NVC then sends the case to the Embassy.  There is no reason to submit another expedite request to the Embassy -- they already approved an expedite or the case wouldn't have been sent to them in the first place.

The only time an expedite request should really be sent directly to the Embassy is if the case is already at the embassy and you are requesting an expedited or earlier appointment than what the embassy has given you.

As others have pointed out, none of these procedures result in an immediate response.  It just moves the case as close to the front of the line as the Embassy can do.  And, that begins with getting the case from NVC and then trying to figure out where to schedule it in an already full schedule.

I agree with you. My case is at embassy no reason to expedite my case at embassy again.

I’m very confused 😐
