Krakow

The natives are South Poles.

Natives of Gdansk, conversely, are North Poles.

After this brief factual enlightenment, we now return you to the topic of this thread. :P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

There is a slight caveat on the pdf about the required vaccines.  It says "If none of the approved COVID-19 vaccines are routinely available in the country where the panel physician practices, the “Not routinely available” reason should be documented)."  If the spouse is getting the physical done in Moscow and they do not have any of the EU/US approved vaccines they can just state that.  I assume in that case a negative COVID test would suffice.  I am going to email the embassy and physical exam place tonight and ask what the procedures will be in that case.

This is what I thought would be the most logical answer. If the doctor clears them at the medical and puts "not routinely available" then it seems to me that he US DoS is giving them a green light to enter the US without issue. I will be curious to hear stories of those who enter after Nov 8th and how it goes at the border.

Is it possible to just get Jenssen (Johnson and Johnson's) vaccine while in Europe/Poland and hope that it will also cover the US entry? In my understanding Jenssen is one-component vaccine meaning that you only need one dose to be considered fully vaccinated, as opposed to two doses of Pfizer or Moderna.  Not sure if they have it in Poland or Greece. Just a thought.

Is there any way the exam can be done by a facility in St. Petersburg?

You have to go to Moscow or a city with a US embassy where they have a designated doctor who can do immigration medicals.

I have not yet decided whether to transfer my daughter's case (Moscow) to Warsaw.  So it remains in limbo at the Embassy in Moscow, for now.  Can I still schedule the medical exam in Moscow?  I don't believe that there is anything prohibiting me from scheduling the medical exam.  Is it a "requirement" that I transfer the case, in order to schedule a medical exam in Moscow?  Thanks!

Not a requirement, per se. But you will receive specific instructions from whatever consulate you use, so just follow those.

We submitted our transfer request on 26 October and it was at Warsaw and “Ready” by 10 November. We’re trying to get her Schengen visa from Finland since she’s in St. Petersburg and we’ll schedule appointments after that.

My daughter is close to Pete as well.  I assumed that if I chose to transfer the case to Warsaw, that my daughter would have to get the Shengen visa from the Polish consulate (in St. Petersburg).  You are saying that you can get the Schengen visa from Finland, and then use it to go to Poland?  I'm not sure I follow...

As far as we know, this info is still up-to-date. Schengen visa holders are free to travel to and from any of the Schengen member countries.
