hello all,

ok this is the situation...

Have AOS in Phoenix, AZ on May 5th.

Had medical in UK before leaving but did NOT have vaccinations.

I do NOT have a vaccination record from UK.

According to London Embassy website the vaccination requirements for a 30 something british male are not substantial (2 shots??), but have not seen this information elsewhere.

Am aware I need to get shots from approved civil surgeon but which shots? Will I need an armful of needles and to empty my pockets?

Any similar experiences?

Any advice / experiences greatly appreciated.

cheers, jon

I came to the US on K-1 and I didn't have any vaccinations record too. So I had all my vaccinations done in the US with the civil surgeon, it was only 2 shots, nothing to worry about. One thing to beware of is that some civil surgeons will refuse to give just the vaccinations without the whole medical examination, even if you tell them you just need the vaccines they will still try to make you do the whole medical, which is unnessesary and makes the cost of the whole thing 3 times more expensive. It's a good idea to call different offices of these approved civil surgeons in your area to compare the costs, this way you can find cheaper prices.

I agree with that statement 110% .. I had all my shots before I had my K-1 interview apart from the measles shot which isn’t available back home. My wife called a local civil surgeon and to our surprise they where less than nice and where asking for something in the region of $595 for a medical I didn’t need :help: … a few more phone calls later and we found a civil surgeon that would fill out the I-693A and transfer the info about my shots from back home onto the medical supplement form… all for the amazing price of $50.00!

It’s the land of capitalism over here alright and when it comes to healthcare they’ll bleed you dry :hehe: !

Thanks for your resopnses

hello again -

Anastasia, can you tell me which surgeon you used in PHX for the vaccinations?

Also I'm confused regarding the I693 & 693A supplement. I have neither of these - they took my brown envelope at the point of entry- were they in there. Do I need to get a 693 supplement specific to me or will any non-specific form be sufficient? Have been unable to get info from USCIS.

thankin' you
