Fiancee traveling to the US

Hello everyone - does it matter what country my fiancee connects to when coming for her flight to the US after getting the visa? For some reason the travel agencies im calling are saying she can only come thru Turkey (she is Montenegrin) and i dont know why? why does it matter what country her connecting flight is in to come to USA? is there an official list where we can find the legalities of this?

She is exempt from the travel restrictions for entry into the US.  She can route through any country.  The travel agencies are not looking at current information.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

they may be looking at best possible rates and since u do not disclose the state u r in,  impossible to really help

 

but before u pay for any ticket ,  look at the rules to transit thru connecting airports

some require a transit visa (for certain countries)

some require a travel document

and some require nothing like Canada ,  anyone with a legal US visa can transit

The reference I gave you is the OFFICIAL source.  A fiance with a valid K-1 is exempt from the Presidential Proclamation.  There is no need to spend that extra few hundred...but it's your decision.  You asked for an official reference..... Good luck.

It is not a matter of choice and it is not related to restrictions issued by the US. No country in the Schengen area will let her in, because citizens from Montenegro are banned entry due to covid.

 

The only country that allows her entry to get her connecting flight is Turkey.
