We are actually both vaccinated in the states. But wasn't sure about Korean doctors actually beliving the flimsy CDC card. :)

If you haven't already. Register your vaccines at your local bogeonso (보건소). That will put your vaccines in the Korean system (although I know the vaccines don't show up in the COOV app as yet). You should be fine. Take your CDC card with you to the interview. You'll still be able to attend your interview appointment even if your medical file isn't ready/ you haven't received the vaccine in Korea.

So I'm curious, what does a "blanket" waiver mean?

Who issues this? The medical examiner, or the USCIS?

If the USCIS issues a blanket waiver, does that give the medical examiner the authority to waive the requirement if an immigrant could not get vaccinated?

Or does the immigrant have to submit the waiver to the USCIS for approval (in which case, it doesn't sound "blanket" to me)?

Just wondering about the mechanics of how this is gonna work.

Hi guys. Figure 1 on the CDC website shows the time between two Pfizer shots as 21 days and Moderna as 28 days.

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/covid-19-technical-instructions.html#fig-1

We live in Vietnam where vaccines are in really low supply, so not sure this timeline will be possible. It probably will be longer than 28 days.

In addition, her first shot is Moderna, and Vietnam has no more Moderna, so she will need to take Pfizer.

Do you think mixing two vaccines and having a slightly longer time than 28 days between them cause any issues?

Thanks

Haven't read the doc, but the timeline is a minimum, not a maximum. There's some data which suggests going longer between shots may be better (assuming you don't get covid between shots), actually.
