HOW LONG DOES GREEN CARD TAKE TO ARRIVE

I had a successful interview on 13th FEB and was informed that my Green card would be posted to me within 14 days. Its now the end of March and I am still waiting for my welcome letter.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so how long have you had to wait. I've contacted the miss information line and they have filed a request for me ...but I'm still none the wiser on where my card is and am hoping to go back to England within the next few months.

My interview was in Jacksonville Florida.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi i'm in the same situation as u my interview was on feb 14 and havent recd anything yet, call the misinfo line couple of times and same thing took my info and ask to call back after 30 days, once i talked to imgration off and he said it could take a few months cuz they have to do some administrative work at the DO before they can send it for production of card at msc, its only for some unlucky people like us most of the people get it in a few days, i'm gonna wait til apr 17th and file a I90 for not recieving the card.

You can make an infopass appointment and find out if the card had been made and sent out....

If you wait for the misinformation line you will just be waisting time... if the card is lost you will need to file I-90 and it takes months to get processed...

I was approved in Nov filed I-90 end of Dec asnd still I am waiting.... and I am not alone there are a few of us who have been waiting 3 months + for new greencards...

Alright

Here is my story

I had my AOS interview in Nov 2005 and still not received anything. My 2 year wedding anny is coming up soon and no signs of GC. I keep calling the ####### at USCIS and they keep filing for a follow up. I already did this 3 times and nothing has happened as of yet. I am frustrated. So, can you tell if it helps to get a INFO PASS and go to the local office to check the status? Please advice.

thanks

Yes you may find your Greencard is lost in the mail as happened to mine... I only found this out at my infopass appointment... If this is what has happened you will need to file an I-90 and pay the fee to get a new card... I did try the get off from the fee under the new rule "Greencard not received" but it turns out that only applies if the card was returned to them as not delivered....

Go make that infopass and find out where your card is....

Thanks for your reply. I just got off the phone with USCIS and they recommend that I make an INFO pass as the local office will have more upto date info on my case than their system. Also, I think my name may be stuck in FBI name check. But I have waited toooo long. Any way let's wait and see what happens.

There is no reason one should have to go thru this if they are getting AOS thry family, right?

I guess the law is the law and we all have to just go along with the process..... But maybe I was lucky it only took 181 days from filing to approval... just unfortunate that my Greencard went missing and its going to take 200+ days to get another one...
