N-400 interview question

When I filed the N-400, I included copy of US spouse passport and naturalization certificate.

Is presenting the US spouse passport at interview sufficient?

The naturalization certificate for US spouse was misplaced and still waiting for a replacement.

also marriage certificate and may be some kind of proof (just incase) that your spouse has applied for replacement since they ask to bring original

A passport is proof of both identity and US citizenship.  Replacement certificates take a long time from what I heard.

I can't imagine you're going to be denied or given a RFE if you bring your spouse's passport. If it makes you feel more at ease, you can bring the paperwork you have regarding the certificate replacement.

Thanks all for the response.

Another question. An ID is needed to get in for the interview. What if applicant has no driver's license or state-issued card? The only thing available is NYC ID card and foreign passport.

I'd have a hard time believing your passport is not sufficient. Remember you need to bring your greencard to the interview. That can also be used as a valid ID.

However, there are others much more experienced here that may give you more accurate information. However, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just bring your passport AND GC
