Hi all,

Our CR1 case was DQ'd on Aug 11, so i assume our interview maybe around Nov/Dec or even longer wait?? Still waiting on interview letter, case is still at NVC...

So in the meanwhile can I (UK Spouse) visit my USC hubby for a month or 2 on ESTA while waiting on interview letter? We have no intention to AOS or anything like that, it's just we haven't been able to see each other since Feb, I understand the normal procedure of proving no intent of over staying but aside from that, is it permitted to travel ? Obviously don't want to jeopardise anything since we've come this far, but the wait is really hard as you all know.

Will that automatically make the DS-260 form that we submitted invalid as my travel dates to the US would have changed if i do make this trip ?

Has anyone who has done this could perhaps share some insights please? Many Thanks !

You can visit your spouse while waiting.  Just be prepared to present evidence, if, asked, to convince CBP that you will return.  Just correct your DS-260 at the interview.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Correct my DS-260 at the interview as in I tell them that my travel dates changed and they amend it for me ? or do i need to submit a new DS-260 online and wait for CEAC to accept it again ?

I would not submit a new DS-260.  That will delay your case.  You are already in the queue for your consulate.

Well, as I promised yesterday - it all went fine. Approved. A couple of questions about family, my travel did not come up, nothing in the form was amended - no need.
yippee

Good luck
