Yes, I am a US citizen. I also reached out to my US state representative but I don't have any way to know if that helped.

They should have a website. I found mine and they had a local office in my city. I called and spoke to someone on their staff and explained the situation, then they e-mailed authorization forms which I filled out to grant them permission to speak to USCIS about my case. I don't know that it helped, but they did let me know once they sent USCIS a request and then notified me that it had been forwarded to the  visa unit at Guangzhou consulate, so it might have sped things up!

I did the same. But my experience was that Potomac opened my file in order to give a response to my congressperson, and doing so flagged an "Active Review" status that got our hopes up. It's been gathering dust for 3-4 months.

I think most of us actually went "active review" around Feburary, so it may not even be related to contacting your rep.

I hope so! They seem to be working through a lot of cases from that time period at the moment.
