Hello,

Our interview is approaching fast. Could someone give advice to whether the affidavit of support is required for Dublin? I have read conflicting information and now I am worried it's too late for us to obtain all the documents necessary.

I do not think it is optional. We're coming up behind you (expecting NOA2 in the next 3 weeks I hope) and I have already pulled my tax transcripts etc. From reading the consular reviews other people have definitely submitted it. Hopefully it won't take long to assemble what you need. Tax transcripts (preferred over the return itself) can be downloaded quickly from the IRS.

05/05/2022: NOA1 for I-485 and I-765

05/17/2022: RFE for I-864 

06/15/2022: Biometrics

08/03/2022: AP Approved

12/19/2022: AOS Approved (no interview)
