😯 Wow! It’s amazing how I have felt like I was the only one having this problem, but it turns out we are all together in the same situation including neglectful lawyers. I’ll update as things evolve.

yes, keep us posted! its important to share out experience with each other and put it out there for those still behind us in the process, this process will make you crazy, talk about testing relationships lol

Maybe we’ll meet in Juarez 😜

Sure do hope to have some people to hang out with and just have that community feel, it’s gonna be a stressful long time (maybe not time wise) but you know how time crawls when you’re stressed

Hello,

I am happy to know there are more people with similar situations. I received the 120 day and 2 60 day letters I also received expedite on Sept 8 and my case has been in transit since then. Have any of you called Ciudad Juarez to see if the case arrived there yet? I have been trying since last week and I finally got through today to know that they don’t have my case and there is no appointment set up yet. This is so frustrating 😔. The lady said she couldn’t find my case. I told her I received the expedite letter she said all she could do is put inquiry. I thought I would get better news than this by now.

Really? My case by the 13th when I first checked was already at Ciudad Juárez. There’s no point in calling, for at least two weeks. If you still don’t have a letter by then then you should call, apparently some people have not received letters and upon contacting the consulate, they found out they did have appointments set already, just no letter/email had been sent to them

it would also be helpful if you did your timeline on here, so that people know how and when things have moved along for you

I’m new and haven’t figured out how to get timeline started, I also haven’t figured out how to put my country of origin on my profile. 😳

For location, go to menu, account, profile and then the little pencil on the top right

I see you did your timeline also, your case is still not at your respective consulate?

Hi! I’m new to this post. Our I-130 was finally approved this past Friday. So here Iam waiting for appt. so I see you guys taking about “CC” date and 120-60 day letters. Can someone explain this to me. On my approval letter it said I should get a welcome letter from NVC soon, if by 45 days I don’t receive one to call them.

Hi, cc means case complete. You still have to fill out a ds260 which is your petition for a visa, then again you didn’t say if you’re doing adjustment of status or going thru consular processing. Either way you have to fill out that petition and provide an affidavit of support and pay your fees. When all that is done and they have reviewed it all and they have everything to their satisfaction you are notified that your case is done at the NVC level. That is your case complete (cc) at the point you are put in line for an interview

I’m doing this through my lawyer, I can’t remember if we’ve already filed out DS-260. She said to let her know just as soon as I get my Welcome letter. It will go through consular processing. Husband is in Mexico and I’m in the US. I hear if beneficiary is in their home country waiting the process is faster, up until this point it took 464 days to get I-130 approval. On FB groups I heard one family got their I-130 approved and in 6 months they had their appt. Luck of the draw I guess. Thank you for sharing.

If your husband is in Mexico, you could try and get your case expedited. If your case still isn’t complete at the NVC level but they approve the expedite it goes straight to Juarez and you just gotta show and prove everything to them in person at the appointment. It’s also worth noting that if you request an expedite and it doesn’t get approved, it does not affect you in any way, you don’t lose your place in line or anything and expedite requests for this don’t cost anything either
