no, you do not need to have the letters of intent notarized. I can't think of anything in the 129f petition that needs to be notarized.

We didn't notarize anything with ours either. I know for the interview the I-134 has to be notarized, but I think that's it.

Roy or anyone who's been through this process with Manila before...Side-topic since you've been through this before. It appears that the tel. # for the Manila embassy is a pay-for-use service number. Similar for web site queries. Is there a free way of getting information from the embassy or state dept. or whoever that can let me know that Manila has mine and Jacki's petition? Thanks.

I believe this is the number to the Embassy. 011-63-2-528-6300 ext 5184 or 5185. it's best to call between 7:30am to 8:00am Manila time. might not get thru at first. keep trying. I talked to a lady named Lorraine a couple of times at that number. best of luck with the remainder of your journey.

We had everything notarized; her letter of intent; my letter of intent; and the statement of how we met was signed by both of us and notarized as well. The interesting thing there is that the statement by the notary public that he had witnessed both of our signatures together before he notarized it is probably another proof of having met within the last two years, since it was duly signed and dated.

Granted, none of that was required, but we figured that it wouldn't hurt us to send it notarized, especially since India is a country where paperwork is less pristine then in the United States.
