She can download it and fill it out ahead of time, with your help, then copy to the actual form on the plane.  Is she travelling alone?

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

Keep us posted on your step-daughter's travel!

I will. Except, we spent years in court to remove "step" from daughter. 😃

But, seriously, I thank you for the kind words and well-wishes.

Speaking of SSN. In her DS-260 I checked the box for her SSN. Will they process this quickly, or will it take time? I'm concerned I might need it to enroll her in school.

My children's SS was mailed a few weeks after arriving into the US. I would wit first before going to SS office.

Ok. I incorrectly assumed the i-551 stamp is what they affixed to her passport at the embassy. See attached image.

This is a VISA and will be a Temporary Green Card also called the I551 stamp valid for 1 year, this activates when she enters the US. She needs to see an Iimmigration officer upon entry to the US to get it activated.

I never considered adopting because I had heard so many stories about frustrated attempts, and her real father is still just slightly in contact.  Her mom thought he would never agreeable.  He is not an issue for immigration because her mother has full custody on their annulment.
