Hi everyone! Congratulations to those of you that finished the process. The rest of you, any news? Are there still people waiting like me for an interview date? :D

Im waiting for any movement on my parent's Green Card Application. Its silence after RFIE in February.

I am delighted to share that I have received my Green Card! Almost 12 months to the day from when I entered the US 🥳

Our Green Card interview was last week in Newark, NJ. The interview was straightforward. We were asked to show passports, marriage certificate, and some evidence of marriage/joint ownership (we gave health insurance document, car insurance document, credit card document, and wedding photographs). The interviewer was vague on what would come next, but we were approved 2 days later.

Our Adjustment of Status timeline is below if of interest:
  • AOS package sent to Chicago Lockbox via USPS: 13-Sep-21
  • Biometrics appointment scheduled: 24-Sep-21
  • Biometrics appointment (I-485 / I-765): 18-Oct-21
  • RFE received for I-485 (UK Birth Certificate): 28-Oct-21
  • I-765 (EAD) approved: 22-Apr-22
  • EAD Card received in mail: 29-Apr-22
  • I-131 (Advance Parole) approved: 19-May-22
  • Advance Parole Document received in mail: 24-May-22
  • Green Card interview scheduled: 17-May-22
  • Green Card interview (Newark, NJ): 6-Jul-22
  • Green Card approved: 8-Jul-22
  • Green Card received in mail: 15-Jul-22

Congratulations!!

Hi everyone! Some exciting news: this morning I received the well known ‘we have taken action on your case’ email, but nothing has changed when I logged in, so I left it alone for the day, I just logged in again and… my i-485 is approved?? I’m elated but also very confused because I haven’t had my interview nor did I ever get the ‘your application is ready for interview’ notice

Exciting news nonetheless! Could be a glitch because of the maintenance to the case tracking and other tools on the site. So check again in about 52 mins when it’s scheduled to end

I really hope it’s not a glitch! 🤞 The approval notice is under the documents section and it looks legitimate, but I probably won’t pop the champagne until the GC is in my hand 😂

That is awesome🥳🥳🥳, congrats. It does happen for some people. I am assuming your medical was done when you filed?

There have been a lot of interview waiver for family based AOS recently. If you filed your I-485 with medicals or send it later, it may be your approval.

I got the same confusion when I got mine 🤓. Congratulations!

Yay!! Congratulations 🎊

Looks like your interview is waived and you got a direct approval.

This morning we received the 'we have taken action on your case' email, and this afternoon the approval notice showed up in the account. We did not have to do an interview!!

Congratulations!! Mine changed today to ‘Card was produced’ and I can finally let it sink in that we get to skip the interview stage :D
