1. We brought full copies of our original files. We brought originals of our licenses, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce degrees from prior marriages. We also brought updated pictures since we submitted our file(with dates and who was in them), joint tax return, bank statements, joint health insurance, etc to prove our bona-fide marriage. She check all of our originals against the digital copies she had. She also took everything we brought to prove continuation of our relationship. My husband also brought a copy of his work contract which she took as well.

2. She asked about our relationship step by step from when we started dating until the wedding including trips, big events, etc. This kind of led itself as my husband and I had a lot of natural back and forth and ended up sharing dog pictures back and forth with our immigration officer. She did ask specifics about our application which included "is this your first marriage?" (It wasn't for either of us), etc. Then at the end she asked a few of the yes/no questions found on the I485.

She ended the interview by telling us to expect something in the mail within the next few weeks and walked us out.

Hope this is helpful and best of luck to you!

Hi friends. Has anyone received AP approval? Are we allowed to ask for an update if it’s not moved for 8 months?

We just got approved for ead/ap combo card on 5/3. The card came in mail today.

EAD question:

I see online that "Card was delivered" was updated on my parent's account but the envelope only contained I797 with no card inside it. It has been two weeks since I got that letter but still no trace of ead card itself. Did anyone face this type of situation?

I receive i797 and ead card on the same day. The tracking number uscis gave was tracking the actual card. My mail

man delivered i797 and forgot to give the card. He came back after 1 hour and told me he forgot it. He scanned it and then gave it me. Now the website said delivered

We had our interview this morning.

We did not have an attorney.

Our interview was longer than what most reported on here. Was about one hour.

Lots of questions.  like a quiz about each other and such.

We took a legal size box full or stuff.

Albums. Had a binder of documents that we knew they were most likely to ask for.

The officer thanked us for bringing so much stuff.

They did not ask sponsor for any financials.

We had everything ready.

Mainly wanted originals of birth and marriage certificates.

Cell phone bill she specifically asked for.

Insurance info. Credit card info. Bills. Photo albums. Recent photos. Etc.

At the end she said that given what we presented she would be recommending a conditional green card barring any other new info or additional documents she may request.

That it should be 3 to 4 weeks to get the card if all goes ok.

Process was smooth just stressful.

Congratulations and here's hoping you get the good news soon :)

Re: the originals of birth and marriage certificates - excuse the maybe silly question, but I assume this was just to look at and verify rather than keep? Which documents (if any) did she ultimately keep?

She just verified originals of marriage and birth certificates.

Kept copies of the recent pics we had give.

Copies of insurance screen captures that showed both our names. Dental. Vision. Health.

Cell phone bill that shows both phone numbers.

Copies of recent travel together since our marriage. Like copies of hotel, air, airbnb, and snowmobile rentals.

Copies of our annual passes to zoo,  museum, and SeaWorld.

Copies of the credit cards that we share and have the beneficiary as a registered user.

We had a letter from beneficiary Dr stating that beneficiary was under her medical care.
