Oh no. Sorry to hear that. I hope your EAD is approved soon. It was a pleasant surprise for me as my service center is California one of the slowest..I wasn't hoping for anything this soon at all

I really hope too. I don't know if it is based on the state. I have seen others here in the thread that has a later PD than me that already have movement in their EAD.

I also have a friend who filed around October and his EAD card is being produced too.

Update - I got an I 693 deficiency notice today. I had submitted this concurrently with my I-130 and I-485 yet I got this notice.

This is the second time this has happened with my I 864 missing first time around :(

I had a couple of questions

Prior to Sept covid shots were not mandatory for I 693 so it wasn't mentioned in I 693 submitted then. Should I update the form to reflect covid shots?

Also should I mention at all that the form was already submitted concurrently and that Im re submitting it?

Thanks.

24 hours after my notice of deficiency / coutesy letter, I got status changed to Interview Scheduled. So keep an eye on it.

Talked to EMMA today, my interview date is confirmed, it is extacly one month from today.

My doctors needed my covid vaccine information. So if you sending it again or in present times, yes your doctor will need your covid vaccine info.

EAD approved on April7th

i485 pd: 09/31/2021

not sure if the EAD card will have an AP endorsement on it.

We also applied for the Social Security and not sure if the SS would be mailed now that EAD is approved.

my RFE received date also switched from February 2 to April7th. It was an rfe under i130

Congrats!!!

If you check your online account under the I-765 documents tab it should tell you whether it's a standalone document or combo card. Mine says "standalone".

Most EAD approvals as of now are standalone.

I spoke to my lawyer and he told me to wait since it was a courtesy notice. He said they will either send an interview notice in which case my parent has to carry I 693 with him to the interview or they may issue an RFE for I 693 which means the interview is waived off. He also said that in many cases despite sending the courtesy notice of deficiemcy they end up finding the I 693 at the end. If I do need to get I 693 redone, I have to get the latest version of the form and a fresh medical checkup. Either ways he advised me to wait before taking further action.

I thought it was a RFE, in that case he is absolutely right. Ours was a rfe, as they waived the interview

It says EAD stand_alone on the letter. Apparently, they now send a second document or something for AP separately.

Will there be a status changed to something else when they mail the EAD card? Do they provide tracking information?

I got a USPS tracking number when they sent out my parent's EAD. It is a standalone EAD approval.

How do you get USPS tracking number? i.e. via email from USCIS or something gets uploaded as PDF to USCIS account

Is social security going to come seperate? I guess EAD is no good without social security.

Is social security a card?

How apart social security and EAD come to us?

When you get your card, go to the social security office and apply

It will take 2 to 3 weeks to come

Not really. When my brother applied for his EAD, he did the same and he received his SS card one week after his EAD.

However, I have heard about a lot of people (TPS applicants mostly) who didn’t get it. Wait 14 days and then call SS office.

Just wanted to encourage you. I too checked that box and today I received both my EAD and SSN card in the post. Here’s hoping yours will be the same!

My I-485 status today changed to interview was scheduled! Quite happy as I have no movement on EAD or AP.

Does anybody have any experience of a) when you actually find out when the interview is? It doesn’t say in MyUSCIS and they don’t seem to have uploaded the letter that will be mailed out. Maybe doesn’t seem that important but I am away from home right now and would like to know asap when it’ll be. And b) typical length of time between interview being scheduled and interview being held?

Thanks!
