Congrats. I got the exact same update as you 2 days back, including the 693 letter and standalone approval notice. One thing I did notice was that there was a separate update for RFE response right below the actively reviewing status. Even though I had sent in my response back in Nov 21, the line says they received April 4th. As someone else mentioned in this thread, this may be because they just reviewed the response. Do you see any such update? Fingers crossed for not having any more issues and getting the interview soon.

Yeah this is basically a suggestion that they've gotten everything they need at this point and also serves as a courtesy reminder to bring your medical report when you get scheduled for your interview. I got my courtesy letter 10 days after my biometrics but my interview is yet to be scheduled.

What 10 days after bio. I am sad again. Since usually bio gets done so fast. It mean there is no gurrenty that interview will be scheduled soon after EAD and Deficiency notice.

What istate are you applying from?

My FO is Washington DC/Fairfax VA which is known to be consistent to schedule interviews between 10 to 12 months.

Check out the average AOS processing times for your FO since they may be faster than mine.

It says 6 months until green card in hand

Congrats to everyone whose cases are moving along! VisaJourney says my EAD and AP should be approved any day now, but I just checked the USCIS processing times and they are so long!

I do have a question: does anyone know if receiving an RFE for the I-485 places the EAD process on hold until the response to RFE is received? Or do they continue to process EAD even if an RFE for the I-485 is issued?

I think your interview will soon be scheduled then. Just use this process to practice patience and get fully prepared in the meantime.

I'm not certain if it affects the EAD being processed but I would try to respond to the RFE as soon as possible just to be on the safe side.

I was in the same boat as you wondering if they would ever approve my EAD and here I am today. You may be getting your EAD approval anytime now or, they may be waiting for you to respond to RFE to just schedule your interview and bypass your EAD.

I received an RFE for I 864 in Janauary 3rd week ans responded by Feb 3rd week. Still got my EAD approved on April 1.

So I dont think they put EAD processing on hold based on RFE issuance. You should be getting your EAD anytime now

We all well deserve some good news. Been waiting since September last year. I know patience is needed bu life kind of stops without these things i.e. EAD, Travel Permit. They should speed EAD and Travel bits if GC must need time to process.

Yeeeeeeh!

Some light at the end of the tunnel. Ill give this good news to my wife

Many thanks

Not sure I agree with the above reply necessarily - I received my deficiency notice at the end of September 2021 and my interview wasn't scheduled until mid-March 2022. If you still need to do a medical (i.e. not a K1) I would hold off on doing it until you actually have your interview scheduled.

REALLY? you making me happy

Thanks

I received the same notice but mine said courtesy letter and i submitted medical during interview. Could also mean get ready with medical and just send it to wherever they tell you to if UCSIS decides to waive interview. Either way, positive news. I do hope you don’t go through what I am going through - interview in feb, no decision yet. Sheesh! :) best of luck!

I agree, that green check means a lot you people so I encourage you to check it every now and then, now I'm just waiting for a status change, not sure how long it takes for Fort Myers to schedule such appointment but am keeping all my fingers crossed
