I just talked to Emma again and my interview has now been requested. What prompted me was a weird thing I noticed on my USCIS account:

image.png.25df946d7bfa8c3c2e30e7281cc14df2.png

Bottom date doesn't align with top date re: receipt of RFE. Sure enough, when I talked to Emma, March 17 is the day they reviewed the evidence and requested the interview. So for those with RFE, this may be a little clue.

Sorry for tagging you, @boy2aman, I know it's not strictly relevant for you now that your interview has been requested, but felt it followed on well from your comment above and perhaps may help others.

Hey a quick question here, was Oct 29 the date your package got delivered to USCIS office or a next day. I m trying to figure it out coz i have my lawyers paralegal send my RFE and really worried abt the work that has been done. Also do scan the docs like the frist package and upload on the online account

I responded to the RFE online, so Oct 29 was the date that I made the response. I'm sorry, but I am not sure what the process is for RFEs that were responded to by mail.

EAD card is being produced after expedite. No word on AP so I assume that means it’s not a combo. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long.

Hello,

How long did it take to expedite it? Is it a separate application?

In all, it took a month for me to get the EAD after requesting expedition.

You call and ask EMMA for an expedite and they’ll put you through to a representative. You give them a reason (for me it was financial loss based on a job offer). You can look up the USCIS webpage for it Here.

After that it took four days for them to email me asking for evidence, a few days for me to put that together (cover letter plus job offer). Then two weeks for them to make a decision. I’ve seen posted here have this part take a couple of days, others have been a month or so. After it gets approved, it took about a week for my card to be delivered.

09/15/21 - Sent packet via USPS to Chicago lockbox

09/22/21 - Priority date

09/26/21 - Text/email confirmation of receipt by USCIS

09/28/21 - Checks cashed by USCIS

09/30/21 - Received I-797C for I-485, I-765, I-131 and I-130 in mail

10/09/21 - USCIS online account updates to schedule biometrics

11/01/21 - Biometrics appointment (Brooklyn, NY)

11/04/21 - Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS

02/14/22 - I-765 Expedite requested

02/24/22 - Expedite evidence sent

03/23/22 - EAD arrived in mail

05/06/22 - AP approved (expedited)

01/03/23 - RFE for I-693, case transferred to Boise, ID office

01/17/23 - I-485 approved

01/25/23 - GC arrived in mail

11/12/24 - Sent I-751 packet via USPS

I don't mind at all. We all learn from each other here. I've learnt so much from people just sharing their experiences. Hopefully we'll be done with this process soon and what we've learned and shared will help others on their future immigration journeys.

Just wanted to post an update. We haven't heard anything since we submitted the RFE back in Novermber 17.  Status just says they have our RFE and are reviewing it.

I'm in the same boat. RFE responded to on Nov 10th, been actively reviewing since then. I've noticed that people with RFE's have a longer wait time even for EAD's (unless expedited). This is just from observing several threads and whatsapp groups.

Just curiosity,

1. If the first RFE is fulfilled, can they ask for another evidence again? I mean shouldn't they just list all needed evidence/s in the first RFE?
(Talking about initial evidence and not situation change circumstance evidence)

2. If they asked for only one type of evidence in RFE, does that mean that all other initial documents are correct?

They can issue RFEs at any point of the process, even after interview. There are cases in which they issue more than 1 RFE, not uncommon.

Idk if this looks like an update but I had RFE last Nov and sent them the docs by Nov 12. Upon checking my USCIS account today, I noticed a difference - the March thing. Before it was dated November. Idk what that means tbh and Idk if this a good thing or more delay.

You could chat with Emma and ask for a status update, and whether that means the RFE was reviewed and an interview was requested. That was the case for me. Doesn’t change all that much (I am still waiting for an *actual* status change), but it did give me a slight boost to know that someone had actually looked at my filing.
