EAD card is being produced after expedite. No word on AP so I assume that means it’s not a combo. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long.

Congrats! What's your reason for expediting?

Financial loss. I have a job offer, so I enclosed the letter with a bank statement. The ability to travel internationally would really help with the job function, so I specifically asked for a combo. I know that’s not a reason to request expedited AP, or how you’re supposed to do it, but you never know.

09/15/21 - Sent packet via USPS to Chicago lockbox

09/22/21 - Priority date

09/26/21 - Text/email confirmation of receipt by USCIS

09/28/21 - Checks cashed by USCIS

09/30/21 - Received I-797C for I-485, I-765, I-131 and I-130 in mail

10/09/21 - USCIS online account updates to schedule biometrics

11/01/21 - Biometrics appointment (Brooklyn, NY)

11/04/21 - Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS

02/14/22 - I-765 Expedite requested

02/24/22 - Expedite evidence sent

03/23/22 - EAD arrived in mail

05/06/22 - AP approved (expedited)

01/03/23 - RFE for I-693, case transferred to Boise, ID office

01/17/23 - I-485 approved

01/25/23 - GC arrived in mail

11/12/24 - Sent I-751 packet via USPS

I asked Emma today and got to know that my interview was "Requested" about a month ago. Does anybody know how long it takes for USCIS to assign an interview date once it has been requested?... It's been a long way and it is getting discouraging, even more seeing how people that applied way after us are getting their EADs or GCs interviews.

Well it doesn't seem that there is a definite timeline in relation to "interview being requested". One of the VJ members from this forum however, got their interview scheduled within 2 months of finding out that their interview was requested.

It does seem though, that Houston, TX has an average of 11 to 12 months adjudication timeline. Hopefully you'll be scheduled soon. Keep your sights towards summertime for your interview. Good luck and hang in there. I know how frustrating this process can be. I'm going through it myself

Out of curiosity, is the only way to know an interview was requested by asking Emma? Does it not show on your online account?

Unfortunately you do not get notified about that stage of the process. The next notification should be when it gets to the local field office and it's "ready to be scheduled for an interview".

NBC actually schedules your interview and your case isn’t sent to the field office until they have done that. Basically ready to be scheduled for an interview is just your case sitting in a queue somewhere, waiting for a slot opening at your field office…

When you ask EMMA for status update, do you ask for main petition I-130 or I-485?

Because EMMA asks for petition number

Once again USCIS lost documentation from my mother's I-485 packet.

First, they lost my I-864 and I-864a along with my tax transcripts and husband's tax transcripts.

Now they have lost her I-693. The level of incompetence from USCIS is unbelievable.

Has anyone else experienced this level of incompetence?

This is really a sad thing.

What is your timeline including packet sent date to first request of documents and this the second time, please?

My parent's I-864 , I-864A and the supporting docs got lost just like yours. I got an RFE and had to file a response.

Bad luck that her I-693 is also lost.

Hope your mom's case comes back on track again!!

Hello,

Complete packet received by USCIS on September 4.

EAD issued on March 14. My dear parents were losing their mind waiting to work. My husband and I kept their positivity going. It's difficult.

This is the second RFE in my mom's case. Thankfully, her doctor will supply another medical examination, but I can understand my mother's frustration. I'm trying to stay positive while helping her stay positive.

I just talked to Emma again and my interview has now been requested. What prompted me was a weird thing I noticed on my USCIS account:

image.png.25df946d7bfa8c3c2e30e7281cc14df2.png

Bottom date doesn't align with top date re: receipt of RFE. Sure enough, when I talked to Emma, March 17 is the day they reviewed the evidence and requested the interview. So for those with RFE, this may be a little clue.

Sorry for tagging you, @boy2aman, I know it's not strictly relevant for you now that your interview has been requested, but felt it followed on well from your comment above and perhaps may help others.
