You guys are not dummies...Lol

Try and get at least 3 affidavits from family and friends to go along with what you already have.

I'm sure you're nervous but don't panic. You guys have more evidence than many people who already got approved

Are affidavits important? I am thinking about instead showing some xmas cards adressed to both of us. Although here comes another issue, my name is Klara (legally and in my native language) but everyone, including my husband and in-laws calls me Claire and adresses me that way in those cards too lol

Are affidavits important?  Well they are not totally essential but can show the IO that you have people who can attest your relationship on your behalf.

Although here comes another issue, my name is Klara (legally and in my native language) but everyone, including my husband and in-laws calls me Claire and adresses me that way in those cards too: I'm sure that if you explain to the IO that this is the alias close family and friends address you by, they will understand. IO's are human and use common sense and discretion. As long as your name is correct on official documents it shouldn't matter if your cards have your alias.

Hey all, I spoke to an agent. "Interview is scheduled for 04-20-2022 08:00:00." (my hubby's birthday)
I was truly hoping for the end of the day appointment haha. Early in the day middle of the week is not exactly the best for an interview slot. 🤣

Insurance stuff is pretty good proof. Affidavit of support from family and friends.. pictures of the wedding itself, pictures of couple with friends and family.. haha we brought our shutterfly calendars and albums and we showed we do it every year :) good luck!

Hello everyone, just want to update here that I received the green card in mail today. We had the interview on Feb. 16. We weren't approved on the spot and were given the paper saying interview complete but case needs further review. I was anxious about it as I read in some cases it could take months to couple of years for them to approve. It was a big relief when status changed to case approved on Mar. 3.

We started this K1 process back in June 2019. Coming from China, it's the first country on the travel ban list. It's been hell of a long journey. I wish everyone the best and don't lose hope!

Don't panic! You have way more than what we had. We had photos, joint bank account statements, credit card statements and affidavit from his mom. We tried to add me on his insurance but insurance company asked us to send proof of legal status. Duh. IO kept 3 photos and bank statements.

Good luck on your interview!

thank you!! I do hope IO will understand we’ve been only married for 6 months or so. Coming here from K1 and adjusting. We will definitely have so much more proof for ROC.

Thanks for this tip - I just checked with mine. No interview request yet, which is a bit upsetting, but at least lets me set my expectations a bit for when I might get an interview (based on other filers at my FO, I thought it might be soon - but I guess not 😄😄😄)

I know how disappointing it can be. This was my third time checking with them since November of last year. Your time will come soon. You may even get your interview before me for all I know. Lol. Hang in there.

Filed my mom's packet in September. USCIS lost my tax information along with ny husband's (864 and 864a). Resubmitted that asap and case is still under review along with EAD card.

Dad's packet was filed in August and thankfully USCIS didn't lose anything. He finally received his EAD last week.

Anyone in Texas still waiting forever for the EAD card? Both parents were fingerprinted in January and only one has received EAD so far.

All other decisions for their other forms still pending (130 and 485).

EAD card is being produced after expedite. No word on AP so I assume that means it’s not a combo. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long.

09/30/21 - Received I-797C for I-485, I-765, I-131 and I-130 in mail

10/09/21 - USCIS online account updates to schedule biometrics

11/01/21 - Biometrics appointment (Brooklyn, NY)

11/04/21 - Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS

02/14/22 - I-765 Expedite requested

02/24/22 - Expedite evidence sent
