Can't edit the above, but just to clarify that I'm applying from H-1B, so not a K. So if there's confusion about my status changing, apologies. I'm interested to hear about people's expedite requests and overall timeline rather than discuss my own status, so I'm here in the more active section.

I'm interested to hear how you explained financial loss when you probably already have a job on H1B, right? I'm in the same status as you but I'm currently employed. My issue is that my wife lives 2 hours away and I'm having problems finding new jobs in her city who sponsor H1b. As soon as I tell them my GC is pending they tell me to come back when it's approved 😵

Same here! Status ("Being Actively Reviewed") hasn't changed since October 18th of last year. Keeping my fingers crossed that this month will bring some positives. Good luck everyone!

So we received a RFE for I-864 and after checking the forms, I can't find any error.... we provided 3 years taxes, W2,transcript, paystubb for 6 months and I make more than what they require. I don't know what they want and now am scared to send it back ....

Was it a generic rfe saying sponsor doesnt qualify? Is the income of the sponsor sufficient vs number of people in household? Documents signed? I saw something in reddit about this hers was more abt income of sponsor vs household size didnt meet threshold… you will be ok just read the rfe carefully and check everything one by one..

RFE was generic, we signed it and we make way way more than the requirement. I watched on youtube an attorney filling the forrm and I can't think of anything. So I guess I will have to resubmit it as it is....

I got exactly the same one and my lawyer said since you may have already filed 2021 taxes (or you must have) you need to present the most recent tax return which are those, don't panic, my state says my response to rfe has been received but it's only been a few days since I sent everything they needed, I decided to send job verification letters this time as well as one year bank account statements, you may wanna do that too

I got an RFE saying they did not get I 864 signed by me. My lawyer filed a response attaching the copy of I 864 with the original and latest 6 months paystubs and said here you go - we have already submitted I 864 and the version that was in use in Sept 2021 thats signed.

Make sure to send in your W2s, paystubs (originally submitted and the last 6 months) and employment verification letter along with  the response.

Sometimes it may just be an oversight.

Soooooo the good news is that i have my ead card on hand… but its not a combo card… oh well. I am still grateful for progress…

does anyone know until when i can travel internationally if my L1 visa runs out on jul 15 and i am still waiting for my ap or gc? Like some countries say you have to have 3 months left in your passport, is there a “safe” period for expiring statuses?
