I hope USCIS processes family based cases also that quickly.....

Praying for everyone here! I think its also because cleveland fo is relatively quick… i was looking at people from CLE and they had interviews about 60 days from biometrics which is about right compared to my timeline. Journey’s still going - i hope we do ok in interview. I also received a notice to bring my medical. Glad i already have that sorted!

You'll do just fine in your interview. Be sure to update us on what your interview date is when you find out. Good luck!

Yeah. I spoke to a representative last week and they had said my case is still at NBC. So my case isn't in the queue for interview scheduling yet, I suppose.

@ltlbnna Oh! You didn't file medical with your application?

I filed the whole thing together including medical because USCIS had also extended medical validity to 4 years and recommended to submit I 693 with application.

@boy2aman My application is still with NBC when I checked with Emma yesterday.

One good thing about family based GC is that many times case is adjudicated at NBC itself without it going to local FO.

In many parents cases, interview is waived off.

What question do you exactly ask Emma? My case status says it's still under review, which I'm ok with, but wanna know where it is

That is indeed true! Especially with cases involving parents and such.

More than likely that will be the case with your parents but I think they'll interview me since mine is marriage based.

Hope yours goes as quick 🤞

@gamma50g i didnt want to delay filing because my L1 is up in july 2022… just thought if i could do it and submit during my interview, that was a better option time wise. I am hoping your parents dont have to interview.. i was kinda wishing the same with me but we were married less than a year when i filed… tbh, if i had an option to renew my work visa first that would have been better so i could wait 2 yrs to file marriage gc so we skip conditional gc issuance.. since its going so fast, next steps to follow for me would be: get conditional gc, petition to remove conditions after 22.5 months then citizenship 36 months! (But i learnt i can count the 36 months from day of gc issuance) so another 2 petitions after lol

Wow @ltlbnna..I had no idea that other categories are so complicated 😬. Its good that you filed without waiting for medical.

The latest news I was reading is some interviews are being rescheduled because a lot of officers are out sick and they are understaffed.
