What is I-693 deficiency notice?

Congratulations! on you being in line for the interview

The deficiency notice is for persons who chose not to send their medical in with the original submission packet. So they send a courtesy letter telling you to bring it with you to your interview.

Through Emma chat.

Me: Can you tell me if my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview?
Emma: So you want me to see if an interview has been scheduled?
Me: That or if it is ready to be scheduled

Emma: Our system is showing that your interview has not been scheduled yet. It has been requested for scheduling. ...

Btw I looked at the Case Tracker app for IOE091348001 - 1349000, and 3 out of 26 I-485 cases have received have received RFEs. And 9001 - 9501 contains my case. So if, based on my searching they are working in sequence, you should be getting a courtesy letter or RFE very soon.

I was wondering, was this the live agent? Or robot Emma?

You can see 40% of the docs you send. On my online account I barely have anything, like 2 or 3 uploads, one is my Birth Certificate and first page of 485 form. I wonder how this thing works

I'm guessing it depends on how thorough or lazy the USCIS officer or contractor that gets your packet is.

I checked and nothing after receipt for me. :(

I signed up for email and phone notifications on myuscis but didn't get anything for this update. I guess checking on their website is the most certain way, or the tracking apps mentioned here.

Hope you'll get your parents bio appointment soon!!

Update. I had my biometrics today (Brooklyn ASC, NY).

A couple of things to note. It seems like the appointment time is a one hour block, there were about 40 people all with the same time as me, so I don't think it's a huge issue if you're late at a busy center, but don't quote me on that.

I got there 15 minutes before the scheduled time and the whole process took about an hour, 5 minutes waiting outside, 20 minutes in the check-in line, 30 minutes waiting for the actual biometrics and just a few minutes for my photo, signature and fingerprints.

I hadn't filled out the second page of my letter, luckily I had a pen with me, but they seemed to have pencils too.

No update as of yet for my online account.

I didn’t have any success as an update, the live agent told me they don’t have access to such information. Bleh. Anyone else tried it? Guess I’m stuck with actively reviewed for now 😂
