actually don't worry - I "asked Emma" and got our access code so I feel like I have a much better picture now! Still waiting for bio but I know Boston has a backlog.. what's everyone's fave app? I tried lawfully but it was too 'sell-y' for me and I got annoyed and deleted it haha

btw, what exactly did you ask Emma to get the access codes?

08/15: I-130 Online filed for parent

09/30: I485+I765+I131 received at USCIS Chicago Office

My check didn't cash today by the USCIS. The familiar paranoid thoughts have started rearing their head. I didn't include me, the petitioner's photos since it wasn't mentioned for a parent application. I also didn't include my driver license photocopy. Although I did include copy of my naturalization certificate that has a photo and should fulfill requirement for govt. issues photo id. My brother is listed as preparer but I didn't include his photocopy of his photo ID. So I don't know if I have messed up in the eyes of the almighty USCIS.

Hopefully they would just issue an RFE. Since you filed the I-130 online, you should be able to upload missing documents through the portal, possibly with accompanying documentation explaining why? Anyone else have experience with this?

they may just request an RFE for some of those if they're "extra" items, so don't lose hope yet :)

Just asked to speak to a live agent and explained my issues. Took me a while to get to a person the first time but this time I think I clicked "technical issues" and then asked to speak to live agent. Don't mention access code or she'll just say that she's still working on it haha.

I got my online access code by speaking to a live agent through "EMMA". The one code allowed me to add all three of my forms at once to my USCIS online account. There I was able to see that my biometrics appointment was scheduled for October 27th 2021! Updated timeline:

  • September 18th 2021 - Filed I-130 online, received PDF I-797 same day with priority date of September 19th 2021
  • September 20th 2021 - Mailed Packet with I-485, I-693, I-864, I-131, I-765
  • September 22nd 2021 - USPS confirms delivery of packet
  • September 25th 2021 - USPS informed delivery of letter from DHS (probably I-797 for I-130), it was.
  • September 26th 2021 - SMS notification of receipt numbers for I-485, I-765, I-131 at 6:22pm PST
  • September 28th 2021 - Money Orders cashed according to USPS
  • September 30th 2021 - USPS informed delivery of 3 letters from USCIS NBC (probably I-797s for other forms) - received.
  • October 2nd 2021 - Biometrics appointment scheduled according to case status checker
  • October 3rd 2021 - USPS informed delivery for letter from DHS (probably biometric appointment letter). Asked “EMMA” for my online access code and got it. Biometric Appointment scheduled for October 27th 2021 at 10am. The access code was for all three forms I-485, I-765 and I-131.

I noticed there was an A# on my biometrics appointment notice. I assume that would be the assigned A# going forward?

Good to see someone other than me filed for parent. My application reached Chicago lockbox on September 24 and I haven't heard anything since.

i am anxious because my mom's exit date on I94 is November 5th and I would rather have them reject or accept the case promptly so I can take the necessary action before that date closes in on me.

No. Money not cashed yet. My dad's i 94 expires end of this month But my lawyers said it takes about 14 days for the receipt. So Im hoping for something before that.

BREAKING!

Sent packet:

09/24/2021 - Fedex overnight service $104

10/02/2021 - Money gone from account (sent two CITIBANK cheques (not money order nor credit card))

(TODAY) 10/04/2021 - Four letters received. Aknowledgement/receipts for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131

No text messages sms, no email

1. Is it normal that we never got any SMS text messages, monies gone out from the bank and also received receipt letters came in the post (grateful)
2. We also sent I-130A, and I-864, is it normal not to receive any receipt letters for these two?
3. Considering I got these letters just today. is it ok and shall I chat with EMMA and ask for an online code (whatever it is)
4. What will happen now (next steps)?

Please!
