If they took your money then that's a good sign. Could be you just did not get the SMS. Sometimes those don't work even when I send them to friends.

What app did you use? Is not the myuscis one ?

So I just checked the uscis tracker and we got biometrics scheduled.

I used this app. I couldn’t find an official USCIS one. The advantage of apps like this is that they send push notifications so you don’t have to manually check the case status checker on the website

You'll more than likely hear from them sometime between tonight and Monday. You should also get your NOA's in the mail sometime next week too, hopefully.

I just wanted to be sure that I filled the form correctly (in terms of admin error), if they cut the money, can is it safe to think that they have accepted all the forms? (signed correctly and not any usual admin errors)?

 

I did not use any lawyer, self prepared application

Once they cash the check that's a 100% sign that they have accepted the application to process it and will issue a receipt notice.  From now on, if they want something they will issue an RFE.

Congratulations. We are still waiting for acknowledgment from USCIS. Same filing date.

Quick question for those checking case status for their biometrics - is the appointment associated with your I-485 receipt number? We are having USPS issues 🙃

actually don't worry - I "asked Emma" and got our access code so I feel like I have a much better picture now! Still waiting for bio but I know Boston has a backlog.. what's everyone's fave app? I tried lawfully but it was too 'sell-y' for me and I got annoyed and deleted it haha

Yes, the biometrics appointment is both for I-485 and I-765 together.

08/15: I-130 Online filed for parent

09/30: I485+I765+I131 received at USCIS Chicago Office

 

My check didn't cash today by the USCIS. The familiar paranoid thoughts have started rearing their head. I didn't include me, the petitioner's photos since it wasn't mentioned for a parent application. I also didn't include my driver license photocopy. Although I did include copy of my naturalization certificate that has a photo and should fulfill requirement for govt. issues photo id. My brother is listed as preparer but I didn't include his photocopy of his photo ID. So I don't know if I have messed up in the eyes of the almighty USCIS.

Personally I like this one. It was the first to update me when my biometrics got scheduled.
