At the top and bottom of your appointment letter it should show that it's both for your I-485 and I-765 once you receive it.

Anyone else get excited when they check informed delivery from USPS and see letters from USCIS? No? just me? lol okay 😅😂. Updated timeline so far:

Green Card Timeline

 

  • September 18th 2021 - Filed I-130 online, received PDF I-797 same day with priority date of September 19th 2021
  • September 20th 2021 - Mailed Packet with I-485, I-693, I-864, I-131, I-765
  • September 22nd 2021 - USPS confirms delivery of packet
  • September 25th 2021 - USPS informed delivery of letter from DHS (probably I-797 for I-130), it was.
  • September 26th 2021 - SMS notification of receipt numbers for I-485, I-765, I-131 at 6:22pm PST
  • September 28th 2021 - Money Orders cashed according to USPS
  • September 30th 2021 - USPS informed delivery of 3 letters from USCIS NBC (probably I-797s for other forms)

Also, here are a few apps I've been trying out recently. They keep tabs on your case status (with push notifications) for you so you don't have to manually log into myUSCIS all the time or use the case status checker website. They all have their unique design but essentially do the same thing. VJ "app" is just a bookmark to this page that I added to my home screen.

We are adjusting from a K1 visa. Filed the combo application with I-485, I-865, I-765, and I-131.

Here is our updated timeline so far:

9/23/21 sent AOS packet via FedEx overnight.

9/24/21 received by 10 AM and signed by E. Poulls

9/27/21 received SMS text messages starting at 6 pm. With IOE numbers.

9/29/21 check cleared the bank.

Yeah I've heard California is way backlogged. Don't know if it's staff inefficiency or just them being burdened by the overwhelming amount of cases they're receiving

Isn’t it crazy? On USCIS website, at case processing times it shows that Detroit MI processes cases starting at 9.5 months to 17.5. I’m definitely thinking it has to do something with the IOE cases, they’re for sure faster. We also got biometrics appointments so fast!

Basically IOE stands for USCIS Electronic Immigration System. That means our cases are filed on paper, but processed electronically. They started to issue more IOE numbers beginning June of this year, until then they issued mostly MSC numbers. In this case, I can clearly see that electronic files are more easy to acces and move forward with than looking through paper files.
