sounds like you might need new ones then? I'm sure you'll find out soon :) I've never had any done so I have to play the waiting game!

Does anyone know if the biometrics they took at the POE count? Because I know my fiance had a digital photo and all fingerprints taken at LAX upon entry on a K1.

I think i asked someone in this forum and they said yes they had to redo.. i saw somewhere that biometrics is valid for 15 months but its not from a uscis website..

I didn't arrive on a K1, so I'm not sure of the arrival process for your partner exactly.. but from my experience I had to go through the same process entering with both ESTA and my work visa. It's more of registering you to your passport I believe, not a formal biometrics appointment.

No it doesn't. The online access code came in a separate mail. 

@sandiegodan2020, @ltlbnna, @micky7: The only biometrics they (sometimes) reuse is if you have provided it previously to USCIS within the US. They don't accept biometrics submitted to Dept. of State in other countries or CBP when entering the country or for GlobalEntry/TSA PreCheck... probably because they tend not to share such information. So most people will be required to go in for a biometrics appointment at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) to submit your biometrics.

 

Here are the different types of biometrics they can request. Code 2 is for EAD/AP and can not be used for I-485/green card. Code 3 is for I-485/green card and can also be used for EAD/AP.

10/18/21: After biometrics, I-485 and I-765 case statuses immediately changed to "case is being actively reviewed"

10/28/21: I-693 deficiency notice uploaded online, case status still, "case is being actively reviewed"

12/29/21: Interview scheduled. Contacted Emma agent and they said it is on 2/7/22

2/7/22: I-485 approved

2/12/22: I-797 approval notice received for I-485 and I-130

2/15/22: Green card delivered by USPS

Thanks! Now I'm trying to figure out how to email them to get one resent? The way I was trying is saying I have to wait 30 days before I can request it. Can you guide me to where I can email them or should I just try to call?

The way I did it was:
1) Log in to my.uscis.gov

2) My Account > Add a paper case file

3) Enter the IOE case number

4) When it asks you for an online access code, there is text that says "help" or "I don't have it" (I can't access it anymore...so don't know the exact text)

5) There is a form that populates where you enter the receipt number, case type, etc. again, and a text field where you can state your request. There, I entered my case numbers and asked them to please resend the online access code via email.

I received an email 4 days later with a new online access code.
