Hello everyone.. Its me again.. Asking help about preparing documents and update about the N400 interview.. There’s an update about my employment and i stopped working since 2019 and choose to become a full-time-mom and just started this January to invest.. Is this an update that i’m gonna tell to the IO on my interview?

i know this sound a silly question but i need an answer.. Please! Thank you so much for the help! 🙏🏼😊

I updated the officer about that on the interview. I actually had couple of updates (new employer for me and my husband, another trip to add, a trip I had forgotten to add) and it was not an issue at all.

That’s a relief for me to hear your experience about this.. Thank you so much! I’m worried it could affect the N400 process or the interview but based on your experienced i can relax a bit now..

Had my oath ceremony on the 21st (exactly a week ago), nice and easy, we even got a Judge to do the ceremony that day just to have a little taste of what would have been if it wasn't for the pandemic. The whole thing took less than an hour. They kept the oath notice and the green card, got my naturalization certificate plus a package with passport application, a flag and some flyers about what to do when you become a citizen. I already submitted my certificate for the passport and passport card, once i receive those i will go to the Social Security office to update my status there. Good luck for the rest of you here, in my experience this stage was the easiest one of all during the whole immigration process (from visa to naturalization). I am still not completely done with immigration though, next now is my parents Green Card. See you guys around the forum.

Thats also what I feel, that the citizenship stage was the easiest one of all :D I expected so much more hassle, waiting around etc so I am pleasantly surprised how it went.

Interviewed on 1/18, upon exiting the office my online status changed in the following order:

1. "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review."
2. "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled"

I've been reading up on forums, someone that had an interview a week before I did in the same office already had their oath ceremony, and some people have been waiting for months. Not quite sure what to think, so I am just being patient.

Looking at the limited data on the Immigration Timeline tracker, it looks like Raleigh is running around 6-10 months with the occasional blip of a couple months (often military).

Hello everyone! Just finished my interview. It was very easy. Officer was super nice and actually fun to talk to. She went over civics and English. Passed it. I had to update since I got married and had a child. Besides basic questions on the info of my wife and child (plus some small talk about kids and how wonderful and difficult they are) no more questions asked. She went over the application and then recommended approval. I'm currently waiting inside the USCIS building to schedule the oath. Seems like it may be tomorrow. We'll see.

They actually scheduled it for Friday. It's great they just handed me the appointment form rather than wait for the website to be updated
