Does it make a difference if it's a CR1 vs an IR1???

nope, At the NVC document review stage there is no difference between the two and generally speaking visa category doesn't matter, submission date is the primary factor.

from another thread that someone asked me related question you might find useful:

As far as I've seen there is no difference between if your submission was an original upload or a re-submission after a RFE. The cases all generally get reviewed in order of when they were submitted, though some cases get responses back sooner than others, this may be down to a number of factors, one of which may be that with a re-submission there is usually fewer documents to review, other factors maybe down to complexity of  documentation etc. Visa category doesn't seem to be a factor on whether your documents are reviewed before another case of a different category, though the more complex categories may have more complex documents requirements, requiring more time to review.

The primary guide we have is when people report getting reviewed (DQ or RFE), looking at their last submission date and the date of review response. This give us a guide of where the NVC are, give or take a week or two.

That gives me so much hope! If he got DQ'd last week that means it was when the timeframe showed they were on July 13th. That's a 20 day difference from his August 3rd submission date. Which could mean we're closer than we think *fingers crossed*

it's certainly hopeful, note that another person on from here reported that their 20th July re-submission was reviewed / responded to yesterday, so some cases come in quicker whilst some take longer, see my edited reply to your original question for my take on this.

Ok I have a question:

I was trying to logon to ceac and saw that they have a visa status check

So I decided to check and I got this response even though all my documents are submitted and paid for...

Is it just me??

Nope not just you. I got the same status even though my documents were submitted back on August 9th. I don’t pay attention to that status link anymore.

totally normal, this is what you see when you're at this stage (NVC, docuemnt review), i believe this changes once you get DQ and then important once you have your interview  (Refused/AP/Issued)etc....

This looks like it might be our first Aug submission reviewed by NVC.

3rd Aug submission reviewed last week.

Note: take this as a guide, NVC will probably still be working on many cases submitted before this one.

Woohooo some good news!

How long will i be DQ or nvc to finish reviewing my documents. I have submitted on the 1st October 2021

Bro, you gotta wait two months for your case to be reviewed

i suggest you to upload all the additional documents so that you don't stand in resubmitted queue after getting reviewed once
