K1 Visa

-No interview for my 2 years green card

-December 11, 2019 we filed Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence
-August 18, 2021 Case Was Approved (no interview) Did not receive a 10 years green card since N400 was approved at the same time! 😊

-October 2, 2020 we filed for Form N-400, Application for Naturalization

-December 31, 2020 Biometrics appointment 

-May 25, 2021 interview with Citizenship exam for N400 (took 10-15mins on both)

-August 17, 2021 Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed and scheduled for oath ceremony!

you can do it online or in a SS office 

they need to see the certificate

Quick question so I don’t start a new thread. Can you file N400 (naturalization) while 751 (removal of conditions) is pending? With the slow processing times now it would be nice not to have to wait.

Hello! Yes! That’s what I did. I filed for N400 while 751 was still pending.

Thanks. Did you file at 3 years of marriage or 3 years of permanent residency? For some reason I was thinking once you celebrate 3 years of marriage if you’re still married you can apply.

You can only file under the 3 year rule if you have had your green card for 3 years AND be married to a US citizen for the same three years. 

Being married for 3 years itself does not make you eligible to file for naturalization if you have had your green card less than 3 years.
