I-751 Form Name question

Hello all,

 

I know I posted this question a few days ago, and I got several replies, but I'm not totally comfortable with the kind answers I received.

 

The question regarded my Thai wife's lack of a "Middle Name."   Three people replied that they had just left that field BLANK.

 

My concern with doing that, aside from the instructions to not leave anything blank, is they may wonder if it was just overlooked by the person filling out the form.

 

In my original question I asked if it should be put in as "N/A" or "None."     That way, the USCIS reviewer would know it just hadn't been overlooked. I'm leaning toward, "N/A" for the moment.

 

If anyone has thoughts or advice regarding this, I'll ask this question again.

My honest advice besides leaving the field blank -as I told you we have done on the numerous forms we've filled- is to stop overthinking and obsessing over something like this. 

 

You said it yourself: people have gotten "none" and "n/a" as middle name, which is plainly wrong.

The worst that could happen is you getting an RFE inquiring about the "missing" middle name, a scenario which I assure you won't happen.

I've left a lot of stuff blank, like the parts where they ask for previous spouse info or children's info because we don't have any. No issues.

Why would you put N/A or NONE for a middle name?

If there is no middle name, just leave it blank!

I can't be bothered with all of those N/A's)) We just left things blank and never had a problem.
