Documents needed - "Request for Initial Interview for parents (I-485)" in Chicago office

Hi All, my parents received received a "request for initial interview". I think their applications seems to be moving relatively quickly as I-130 / I-485 was filed in around Feb and April respectively. They have completed their biometrics.

The interview is on 1st October. I presume this is the last step unless something else is requested in the interview. There is a list of items which are mentioned in the I-797 to bring to the interview.

I had questions for a few of them (below) and then is there anything else that my parents need to bring to the interview besides what is listed in the form ? Also, any suggestions for preparing for the interview; what do they ask; is this more of a formality ?

1) Form I-693 (Medical) - Unless already submitted

2) Form I-864 (Affidavit of support) - Unless already submitted

3) All documentation establishing your edibility for lawful permanent resident status.

1 & 2 was already submitted along with I-485 application. I presume they do not need to take copies as it states "Unless already submitted". Please correct me if that is not the case.

For 3, it is not clear to me on what is needed to establish lawful permanent resident status (would that include the receipt of I-485 bring processed + approval of I-130). Any suggestions ?

Thanks.

Yeah, you could bring the petition approval notices and copies if you want.

Yes, they basically go over the "Yes" or "No" questions of "General Eligibility and Inadmissibility Grounds" section in Form I-485.
