Had a new medical exam for adjustment of status - will it speed up process?

Hi all,

I'm a K-1 visa holder from the UK. I entered the US in July, got married to my US citizen spouse in August, and am currently preparing to submit my AOS packet.

I have had a new medical exam undertaken today in the US, as I had some issues with my previous vaccine record and paperwork. I should receive the I-693 in a few days.

I would like to check:

- How does this change my AOS packet? I assume I’m now including a sealed I-693 instead of my previous (incomplete) DS-3025?

- Will this potentially speed up my GC/EAD/AP processing, as USCIS no longer needs my previous results to be sent from my home consulate?

Thanks!

No changes. You didn't need a new medical, just needed a civil surgeon to transcribe the vaccines and sign the form. This new form isn't needed until the date of the interview, so it won't speed up anything.

Thanks for the response!

To clarify how the AOS packet will now look, I'll effectively be adding my new I-693 and no longer submitting my previous DS-3025 - is that correct?

That's up to you. You're not required to send the 693 with the 485, but you can do so if you want.

No need to send the DS3025.
