Entering the U.S. for the first time

Hi everyone 🙂

So my husband has officially received his immigrant visa this week.

We are both in Colombia and we plan to move to the US in November but he has to travel to Miami this weekend to get his covid vaccine since in Colombia there are no 2nd shots available right now.

So these are my questions:

 1. Is it easy for him to enter as immigrant and come out of the US 2 days later while he still hasn't received his residency card?

2. When filing the paperwork since I had to prove US residency I sent a letter saying that I would enter the US on or before the date he would enter the country. Would it be a problem and will they know that I am still in Colombia??

Answers are much appreciated! I am on a tight deadline!

 Thank you!

1.  Once he enters the US, his visa will be endorsed....His passport will then act as a green card until the plastic one arrives.  He can freely leave and return.

2.  He cannot enter the US before you.   You must enter either before or at the same time.
