Aug. 2021 I-130 Filers-Spouse of USC, spouse outside of USA

Our immigration journey has just begun but I thought it might be helpful for us to share our journey with each other.  Perhaps we can compare processing times, service centers, petition transfers, etc.  If nothing else, perhaps we can bring words of encouragement and patience to each other as we seek to bring our spouses to the USA.

I'll start.  We were married in the UK on July 30, 2021.  I returned to the USA and left my husband in the UK less than 24 hours after we married because I had to return to work.  Luckily we spent June and July together so I guess we had the honeymoon first.  I filed the I-130 for in upon my return and received a receipt 8/10/2021 from the Potomac Service Center.  On 8/14/2021, I received a letter informing me how to create an online account.  The return address stated the CA Service Center.  Does anyone know if this is common?  Also VisaJourney originally estimated our case would be adjudicated between 4/13/2022 and 7/13/2022.  Today I received an email stating that date has changed to 7/1/2022.  Does anyone know what could have caused it to be pushed back?

These questions may be basic, but this is my first time experiencing all of this so I apologize in advance.

Any advice, encouragement, or words of wisdom are certainly welcome.

Best of luck to all of that that our journey is a short one!

I filed on 8/31/2021 after marrying on July 4th.  Just got the estimate of July 5 2022.  Which as mentioned is based on what other members have inputed, and based on the time frame for the service center that we listed.

May I ask what service center?

My spouse and I have been married for years (we are both living in Peru at the moment) ....we applied for an IR-1 on August 14, 2020; the petition (NOA1) initially was marked Nebraska. Our approval notice came on October 7, 2020 (54 days; marked California Service Center).  On October 10, 2020, we received notice of visa case creation at NVC;  we paid all the fees and submitted the DS-260 and uploaded all documents. On January 15, 2021, NVC asked for more documents (which I submitted right away) and, on January 28, 2021, they asked for an additional document (which I had already submitted) that I resubmitted. Finally, we were DQ'd on February 9, 2021. The longest wait, for us anyway, is the embassy interview (Lima seems to be moving at a super slow glacial speed). Fortunately, we aren't in any big rush but I sure wish one of these government agencies would send an email every once in a while just to let you know you're somewhere in their system.

Anyway OP...being UK embassy you have a good shot of moving along relatively quickly....

Received notice that as of 9/9/21 our case is being actively reviewed.  Should I get ready to do the happy dance or is this just routine?

I just chatted to a live chat via Emma,  who I finally found the Ask Emma button by using Safari (not Firefox).   Found out my case is now with California....

Not sure if it was Texas or CA when it switched to Actively processing.

Glad I'm not in this boat alone.  Let's keep each other informed of any movement.  It's GOT to come soon.  Fingers crossed as I'm losing my patience seeing a lot of others with PD dates after mine begin approved without being expedited.

Me too! It is very frustrating I will tell you that. I am hoping within the next month or two we will be getting our approval. Please keep me informed if you have any updates as well. I will do the same

If it makes you feel any better, I filed September 21, 2021 and I don't expect my wife and I will get to the USA before the summer of 2023.

I hope that's not the case but idk what the wait time for an interview is in China.  The UK has no wait right now.  My heart goes out to you if you have a long wait for an interview after a long wait for approval from USCIS.
