K1. I'm guessing you don't see that "First Available Appointment" notification on the homepage? I can't go to the actual calendar to see the slots, since my fiance already completed her interview.

Yes I don't see that. My wife is IR-1. We were CR-1 but we've been waiting so long it went over the 2 year limit and became an IR-1.

I wasn't aware they only made appointments available that are specific to a certain visa class - I thought anyone of any class could schedule an available slot. Sorry about that.

IR1/CR1 interviews are scheduled by the embassy.  What is your DQ date?

My DQ date is Feb 23 2021. We already received an interview date back in August 2021. However it was very close to my wife's due date (pregnant) so we could not travel to Manila. I've been trying to get a new date since then with no luck.

Yes, due to covid, many applicants are showing spots on their xrays. Whether they previously had it or asymptomatic. That is why it is very important to stay healthy. Huge numbers of applicants that underwent medical are failing the medical and had to undergo sputum and treatment

No, sputum testing is not a new thing.  It has been part of CDC protocol for visa medicals for a long time.  We have many threads here on VJ going back to years before COVID, about sputum testing at SLEC.  Only those with abnormal chest x-rays get flagged for sputum testing.  In the Philippines, around 15-20% of visa applicants get flagged for it, based on CDC data from before COVID started.

Hopefully we can all get an interview schedule already. It became one of my daily task to check for appointments online!

Anyways, can someone help me with this.. So I’m gathering all the needed requirements for the interview while waiting, the Affidavit of Support, is it the one you sent them before or do you need to fill out a new one since its been ages since I filled out the original one and there’s info in there that changed already.

The embassy loaded a bunch of dates for IR1/CR1 about 30 mins ago. I was able to snag one for Feb 14. There were a number for Feb 14,15,21, and 22. By the time I booked it was Feb 14 10:30AM left and there were about 20 slots left. It appears it was only for IR1/CR1 and IR2/CR2.
