You should see calendar like this picture below if there’s available dates. And yes, we will be able to book the appointment ourselves. I just learned this recently too. And it looks like there were available slots last December for January schedules (which I missed). This was shared to me by a member from the group I joined.

Hi how long does your papers stays at NVC after expedite approval? My case still at NVC. Its been a month already 😢

Just a day. They approved my expedite on Oct 25, the next day the status changed to READY and says at Manila.

I petitioned my parents last 2019. Got everything approved before lockdown 2020 until now we are still waiting for my parents schedule for interview in Manila. It’s almost 3 years and I couldn’t wait for them to be here anymore. Anybody got an update?

hi all  - It's been a while since the last time I was here. Things have changed for couple of weeks now. My mom died just after new years and it has been really tough. She is one of my beneficiaries along with my father. I have not looked on how to update either USCIS/NVC or the Manila US Embassy  about the change yet. I was wondering if anyone has the same experience?

Sorry to hear about your loss. May she rest in peace. 
 

Maybe try to call NVC if your case is still with them.

I am so sorry to hear your loss. I would suggest calling NVC but it is very hard to get in touch with them. Try the NVC public inquiry, send them email from there.

I just told them that with the current pandemic, everything is unpredictable and hoping to spend more time with my children (their grandchildren) while they can.

 

No, my parents are still in the Philippines. After 2 months of expedite approval, I went ahead and scheduled them for medical. They are now just waiting for the interview schedule. Looks like no one got appointment for February yet.

There will be a January 26 appointment open soon. Parents did medical yesterday and popped for the three day Sputum next week. Grrrr
