Waiting for Interview

Our I-130 visa application was approved on July 1, 2020, over a year ago.  We are still waiting for the interview at the American Consulate in Ghana. I understand that there was a delay due to COVID, but it is very discouraging to wait this long.  We are eager to be together.  Is anyone else having this problem?

For family of LPR (I assume you are posting in the appropriate forum) there was also the trump ban in place until March this year. Big backlogs have built up. Best bet for you to try figure out timing is to try find a local forum and see what DQ dates are currently getting interviews.

you did not keep up the timeline

so i ask

Did u pay the 2 NVC fees?

did you complete the AOS and he do the DS260?

when were they completed and when were u DQ at NVC?

i don't need to know but others from Ghana will hopefully communicate and guide u

What is your visa category?

What is your case DQ date?

 

Note that the I-130 is a petition.  The visa application form is the DS-260.  Your petition may be approved, but your visa application cannot be approved before your interview.  To get in line for interview at the consulate, your case must be DQ (documentarily qualified) by NVC.
