Hi,

We had our K-1 based I-485 interview scheduled for 9/16 and today (9/2) we received a cancellation notice which also states:

We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you. Please follow any instructions in the notice

I read the following in a few posts on this topic:

 - this is a glitch - ignore it and go to your interview anyway.

- you may be granted a green card without an interview or with a delayed interview (post GC receipt)

- you are being pushed out because your interview was mistakenly scheduled too soon

FYI - We submitted our I-693 already and had no RFEs.

This seems to be a pretty rare situation, so I am curious if anyone had any recent experience with this and how it eventually panned out.

Thank you in advance.

Did you go to the USCIS website to check on your field office if they’ve been closing/ closed recently?

Curious as to the other answers coming.

I would say, still prepare and go...if they turn you back at the gates then go home...you have nothing to lose

So weird 🧐 definitely will be watching and I agree with sparkle I’d just prep and go. Worst thing they can do is tell no interview today and wait.
