Thanks Mrs Williams. How do the us embassy in London know to request our petition? From the ds160?

At the Santo Domingo Embassy they request cases every 2 weeks for K1. If you have a case number by the time they request then case will be sent. My WhatsApp group was able to find the schedule, not sure how.

The move from NVC to embassy can't happen if you don't have a case number/invoice ID. That is what allows you to apply for your interview online.

I suggest calling or emailing the embassy and see if and how often they are requesting cases from the NVC

Option 2: try for an expedite, it doesn't affect your case while they review or if they deny it. It continues to process at the normal pace until an expedite is approved. If expedite is approved, from what I've heard they will send it the next day to your embassy of choice.

Good luck

I called and got mine last Monday. Still haven't received a letter in the mail. My NOA was Sept. 10th.

Not 100% sure on that portion but I have a feeling its not from the DS160.  When I went through the process in 2018. I did not fill out the DS160 until I received my email from NVC stating the petition was sent to the embassy. I do follow another group, August 2021 K-1 NOA2 to NVC. Someone posted  shipment dates for the month and it shows when NVC ships petitions to the different embassy's.

I was going to ask what does shipment say means? Like how do people know it’s shipment day?

1603-334-0700. I just got my email today confirming assigned case number and that it will be sent to the embassy I've chosen.

So anyone lucky yet?

Case was approved on 8th of September, contacted them today and they say the case is still not in their system.

Also, managed to get in touch with the embassy they said they have no backlog either so basically as soon as NVC creates the file it can be at the embassy straight away or in a few days.

Now if I do not get a case number tomorrow I think I'll be stuck for the next shipment date.

Anyone who was approved between 7th and 12th of September have their rcvd their case numbers from NVC?

  • Jan 26, 2021 = NOA 1 for I-129F (K1 Visa application)
  • Sep 8, 2021 = NOA 2 for I-129F (K1 Visa application)
  • Nov 16, 2021 =  K1 visa issued in Islamabad, Pakistan
  • Jan 20, 2022 = POE Dallas, Texas
  • Feb 14, 2022 = AOS (I-451, I-131, I765) Filed
  • Feb 20, 2022 = Receipt notice for all three received
  • March 21, 2022 = Biometrics in Dallas, Texas
  • August 9, 2022 = EAD (I-751 approved)
  • August 13, 2022 = EAD and SSN received (SSN applied with EAD)
  • September 6, 2022 = AP (I-131 approved)
  • September 13, 2022 = AP (I-131 receieved)
  • March 15, 2023 = I-485 approved (interview waived, New SSN received without DHS wording)
