I called them today they told me it takes at least up to 60das. It’s so frustrating because their person answering the phone doesn’t really help of what to do, keeps reading off a paper. If I send an inquiry email how long would it take for a respond back?

The 60 days is a blanket reasponse they give everybody. They told me not to call back until Nov. 6 and that my embassy in Santo Domingo wasn't requesting K1 visas. That was all a lie. I have screenshots of a WhatsApp group I'm in for Dominican k1 visas. I wouldn't trust that.

I would reach out to your state senator or representative to help you with the inquiry and also request an expedite due to technical error or delay at the NVC

I don't know how long it will take for a response though. From your state rep or direct inquiry at NVC

What embassy are you going to? I wonder if that has anything to do with it? My case number started with letters correlating to the embassy my case is going to. If you don't have an embassy or they aren't taking cases. This may be a reason you don't have a case number.

Just a thought🤷🏿‍♀️

Hi,

thank you for your help. My case was supposed to go to Afghanistan but currently there is no embassy 😔. But I called NVC if they have at least received it from uscis, they told me they cannot find my case in their system which means they have not received it yet? I don’t know honestly.

Likely they have received it. And just haven't assigned a case number because it has no where to go.

When I call them they tell me they don’t have any records of my case in their system. Do you think even if they received it but since no where to go they can document their system the receipt of it?

If it’s not in the system typically means it has not been received to NVC yet.

Exactly, it is sitting somewhere in an NVC office untouched. The case won't get assigned until there is an embassy to assign it to. Therefore they won't generate a case number for it. Have you tried calling the USCIS about it, just to confirm they sent it to NVC?

I think they said it had been 2 months tho.

Öğrenmek için USCIS'i tekrar arayacağım. Bazen onlardan net bir cevap almak çok zor, bilirsiniz. Ama onlarla tekrar iletişime geçecek.

I called 10 hours ago and they didn't give me a clear answer, I'm still trying to get a case number

Anyone knows if you don’t have embassy and you want your case to another country do you have to be present in that country where you want your case to go to or not??

I would give a call to NVC and ask them what to do in that case. It makes sense that they send your case to the nearest embassy or to the embassy that agreed to take the cases from your country.

Hi guys, has anyone received the case number yet? We were approved on 09/16/2021. We called them on Monday this week and they told us they still haven´t received it from USCIS and to call again in one week. I wonder how often does USCIS send the cases to NVC.. I saw in August group that most of their petitions were received late August from NVC..

We´re gonna call this Friday again due to US holiday on Monday.

It varies. You just need to stay consistent with them and keep calling to see. I called one day and they said they didn’t have it. They received it the very next day. So I would say keep at it until they receive your petition

I would contact your state senator or representative explain to them your situation and they can likely give you guidance on what your options are. I've contacted mine and they respond really quickly with email or you can call them directly.
