That’s not true. I expedited my case (medical) when my case was at NVC and was approved. My case was sent to Santo Domingo a day after the expedite was approved. And I know plenty of people in my group who have expedited at NVC so I’m not sure why she’s saying that. Nvc received my case 4 weeks after my approval and on the fifth week they assigned my new case number. After the 4 week I called every day or so to get my new case number. I wanted to be able to follow my case online.

Thank you. Next week will be about 4 weeks. I too am going to Santo Domingo. I think we are in the same WhatsApp group. 😊

I will keep calling and hope I get someone who knows what they are talking about so I can put in the expedite. Did you do the expedite online or over the phone?

I submitted my expedite with my state representative (that might’ve been why it was approved since some people do think it holds a little more weight to have them submit it) . If I was you I’d submit it either with my state rep or email NVC at NVCexpedite@state.gov

To submit the expedite you do need to wait for your NVC case number though. They will reject it if you don’t include your case number

How long did it take to get an interview? Can you put your timeline here from NOA2 approval? It would be so appreciated and bring me some kind of focus.

It took 3 weeks to receive my interview after my case arrived at Santo Domingo.

My timeline is right under my name on the right hand side. If you click it you’ll see I’ve logged all my info .

my case is currently in Refused Status. I received a form 221G at my interview

yes it can be because in some countries the embassies of america do not accept files so they keep all the files in nvc but this is not valid for every country Please call the American embassy of the country where your fiancé is and ask if they accept files or not.

@JojoandTomas What was your 221g for?

My 221G was because my fiancé went to medical and they saw a shadow or irregularity on his X-ray. They told me he needed to do the additional TB screening to rule out TB. That TB screening takes an additional 9 weeks . Those 9 weeks fell well past my interview so we didn’t have the medical results when we went. They gave us the 221G for the missing medical

Please read my post. The part about NVC holding their cases is not mentioned in that reply.
My comment was only referring to the part that It is UNTRUE that NVC is not processing expedites for Santo Domingo. And I stand by that as I have submitted an expedite through NVC and was approved. Myself and the person who Asked the original question are from the same embassy which is why I have specific information regarding what his next steps should be because I know what he needs to do and know others who have done the same.  I cannot speak for any other embassies as I have no knowledge of their inner workings

Hi everyone, that's my first type over here, I went at the SDO embassy for the interview for my k1 visa on 17th this month, and the they said I have been approved but my status remain on the ceac as Administrative processing until now. is anyone familiar with this please?

Yes I’m from SDO embassy too. There are a few people I know who are also in administrative processing after interview. 4 people that were interviewed on Sept 3 were in processing until this week, now they are issued!
You just need to wait for them and make sure you watch your case.
You were not missing any documents right? Everything was fine at the interview?
