Hey Everyone,

Can anyone tell me what is the [Forms DS-160], in which they are referring? On the printed DS-160 application forms it says in bold letters "DO NOT BRING THIS TO INTERVIEW". We do have the Nonimmigrant Visa Application printed out already, but what is the second form? Thanks for the help.

So we did our ds-160 form online. Pretty sure you have to do it this way. The application isn't completed until you pay the fee as well. My beneficiary (fiancé) did it in his home country. But, I think once that is paid you/or whomever completes the form, will get a confirmation page or page stating that it is complete and paid for. That is the one that you have to bring to interview.

I did not receive any NOA2 , I got the letter from the NVC just telling me that they approved the I129F and they were going to send it to the US Consulate in Naples, Italy. this happened on August 31.

its October and I still did not receive any letter from the Consulate to schedule my appointment. Anyone knows something?

Are you the beneficiary or petitioner? Usually the petitioner receives the NOA2 at their home address in the US. I have not heard of beneficiary receiving the NOA2 overseas.

If you are the petitioner and haven’t received the NOA2 , you should get in contact with USCIS and see about that. USCIS does charge a fee I believe to issue a new NOA2. You will need this for Adjustment of Status so it’s important to locate this form. It would have been sent to the petitioners home address or whatever address you used on the petition.

i do not know about your consulate interview process but for Dominican Republic we just have to wait until they reach out and send us the interview email. You may want to inquire in one of the more embassy specific forums on VJ

I was told by NVC they just assign us a case number. Our case sits at NVC till the  embassy requests it when it has available interview dates. So it could sit at NVC for a while if there is a backlog at the embassy in your country

That’s correct. It’ll stay at nvc until your embassy requests it

Can I schedule my k1 appointment if the CEAC status shows READY, without having received the letter from the consulate?

Yes this is my question as well. When should we expect to receive this letter from the consulate and will it be an email? It seems that the instructions on the site does say to only schedule interview when you have received such a letter.

Removal of Conditions (I-751)
2/17/24: I-751 packet shipped via FedEx

2/20/24: I-751 packet delivered

2/22/24: Receipt Number available on USCIS Portal

2/27/24: Extension Letter Available Online, Biometric Re-use letter, "Case is being actively reviewed"

They do but we actually have all the required case number and DS application done, so why should we wait? just a wait of more months waiting for nothing. its been a whole year and a month from the READY status . still nothing from the embassy.
