Hello! 

We are waiting for a decision on my husbands AOS. We had our interview already but they gave an rfe for medical. We sent that in but haven't gotten any update at all. He does have his EAD/AP document and I wanted to know if hypothetically speaking we travel abroad and his AOS is denied what would happen? I know once the petition is denied the EAD is void. Would he be able to enter the country again?

Not using that AP document.  His pending I-485 is the basis for his Advance Parole document.  Once an I-485 is denied, there is no basis for the AP document.   He would no longer be authorized to stay in the US.  Here is a similar situation.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
