Hello,

I submited my DS-260 and now I received and email asking for documents.

The email states that

All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which the application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the translation is accurate and the translator is competent to translate.

Does that means that because I lived in Spain and I'm doing the application from Spain I can send the documents in Spanish without any translation?

It means in English or in the language of the country  where the interview will be conducted.

Even if you are interviewing in Spain, if the embassy requires you to have translations then you should send those to KCC as well. Please make sure you properly follow the instructions from KCC and the info from and links on this page to ensure you have the right civil documents for KCC : https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/diversity-visa-if-you-are-selected/diversity-visa-prepare-supporting-documents.html

note both the links to the reciprocity pages for correct document types, and the embassy specific links (the Madrid one has been linked above already)

I believe OP is talking about the documents request from KCC, not documents for the embassy at this stage.  It is not quite the same list of documents. By the way both the original DV selection letter and the interview appointment letter need to be brought to embassies for a DV interview, when that time comes.

Basically if you don't take it  CO will ask for it /seems they love to do that

? OP is probably months away from a CO. As per the title, the OP is asking about the documents request for KCC. Again, this is different from the embassy interview. (OP, in case you are confused by what has been posted above, a CO is the consular officer who will interview you at the embassy.)

When the time comes for the embassy interview,  because some of the DV requirements differ from NVC-based cases, the list of what OP needs to take in addition to what is in the embassy specific instructions will be included in the DV interview letter. DV interviews are generally very straightforward assuming all requirements are met.

Yeah, I'm asking for the documents to send to the KCC, no interview has been scheduled yet

I'm finding conflicting information. Now in the U.S Spanish embassy wbsite I'm finding this information

Quote

Translations (original & copy): All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made (Spanish), must be accompanied by certified English translations. Translations must be certified by a competent and registered translator. The original document that is being translated must also be presented with the original translation.

So the page says to send KCC the documents and any required translations. If you look at the Madrid embassy page, they require English translations for all documents. So, send them with translations.

That’s for a fiancée visa. Please stick to the link in the dvselectee pages which does say you need English translations for all documents.
