Hello everyone. i am in the process of obtaining K1 visa for fiancee in thailand.  It has been an exhausting experience so far with countless hours of research and mind boggling information and countless information contradictions from MANY sources as well. ( and ive only finished the 129f application info so far!) I am glad i found this site and have learned alot so far, and cleared up a lot of confusion with the information available here.... Moving on now to assembling the supporting documents and i have a question if anyone could offer information. All photos of 1 trip to Thailand (me) and 3 trips to America ( her) were taken with our cell phones. She is  good on the computer and has assembled photos in a template w/ 6 photos on each page with descriptions of the activity presented in the photo.  I then  printed these pages out on glossy photo paper. NOW In researching minimum size of said photos I have come across several sources indicating this format will be rejected and the photos need to be full size and individual  printed by a photo studio such as walgreens photo service. I cannot find any info on USICS site stating requirements for size and format for proof of meeting in person photos. Any one who could offer any information on this would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks mike.

You already did too much by printing it on photo paper. Normal paper would have been enough. There are no requirements for that only for the passport style photos. Don't send photo albums or a USB stick with pictures other than that you're good.

I sent single pages with 6 photos on each for each place we went when we were together. They were still large enough to not only show us together but also showed where we were (not just head shots). I did include larger full page photos of shots with the entire family.

No need for photo quality paper.

I put 2 pages together, back to back and slid them in a clear plastic sleeve and inserted in a 3 ring binder. All total was about 10 pages but together were only 5 in the binder. There are many examples here on what to include and how to assemble your application.

Also important are airline and hotel receipts as well as passport stamps that match the dates you are together.

One cannot find something that doesn't exist. There is no such requirement.

Thank you all for the help! much appreciated. i will continue with the photo template , 6 photos on a page as our original plan. thanks again. mike

Better evidence of meeting in person would be passport stamps, original boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc.  I assume you are including those?  Photos alone may not be enough as the dates and locations cannot be verified.  Good luck with the I-129F!

Thanks for your reply carmel34. yes we have copies of all the tickets for all of the flights and photos of boarding passes for most of the flights (i lost mine but have photos of the tickets)  and photos of passport page stamps showing arrival and departure dates for all 4 trips. Thanks again for your help, mike

follow USCIS site and make this easy for the

in preparing your packet, remember:

  • Do not use binders or folders that we cannot easily disassemble.
  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.
  • Do not use heavy-duty staples; instead use fasteners or heavy clips.
  • Do not submit originals unless specifically required.
  • Do not submit oversized documentation unless it is necessary.
  • Send single-sided copies of your supporting documentation
  • 2 weeks later...

I assume you are applying for K-1 visa, if so then  there is no any specific requirement as to how these photos should be. You are allowed to send the way you want. However if you were to be filing form I-130 online for CR-1/IR-1 then there is a specific requirement for each file which is about its size which must be within 6mb...but since Form I-129F for K-1 visa is not allowed to file online, instead to only mail then there is no any size requirement of its file.

Its great that you guys are able to put 6 photos on one page and then label the description to it...Can you please let me know step-by-step of how to do this...which app you have used  and which app to label the description and anything else please. Tnx

The photos dont need a particular size just as long as they are clear.  And of course the date and information of each photo is legible.
