Alright folks, please set me straight. Lol. When is the expiration date of the extension letter? My letter stated notice date: 09/25/21

The notice also states "Your conditional permanent resident status is extended for 24 months from the expiration date on your Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card also known as a Green Card).

My gc expired in 11/2021. So the extension means it is valid till next year 11/2023, right?

*Can't wait to file N400 in August!

Right! 24 months from the expiration of the green card.

Lol. I just missed my driver's license. It says there the exact expiration date. When I got my extension letter, I renewed my license and they followed the extension letter and the date of my original green card.

I expected the DMV to do that, too. My husband's first driver's license expired with his green card. When he went to renew it, he took the expired green card and the extension letter, so I expected another two year renewal of his license. Instead, they renewed it for the usual four years!

I'd call that a win :) One less thing to worry about while ROC is processing.

Yes! If all goes well, he'll be a citizen before his license expires!

That is great! It also depends on each state. I live in Atlanta. He got lucky then, less worry! 😀

The state does make a difference. The downside, for use, was that he couldn't get his license until he had his EAD. In some states, it's not necessary.  Think about the many stages of this that are behind us!
