I was before you and you got it faster :)).

LIN office too ? Did you get the online status change and the paper too ?

EAC - we got an email but no text, even though we signed up for it. Doesn't matter, the email was enough. Our online status updated to show it. The letter should arrive pretty soon.

It's when it's sent to the National Benefits Center that it's then transferred for interview.  It's unlikely you will have to do another interview, since you did one for AOS

Do you think (and this is probably just speculation, none of us can truly know) that they look through the packet and decide which goes to the NBC and which don't, based on strength of evidence?

I'm currently beating myself up for excluding some things that I learned here I should've included, although I believe our evidence is strong otherwise. It would help to know that USCIS thought the same upon skimming our packet... 😅

I have no idea of what their criteria is. I know that for people who didn't have an AOS interview, the ROC interview is mandatory. There were many AOS interviews waived because of COVID. I read an article about avoiding an interview by having good and complete evidence. I don't know what you're worried about having excluded, so it's hard to speculate. Honestly, it's hard to speculate about these things anyway. I suspect yours will be waived, because it didn't go to MSC.

That makes sense. We did do the AOS interview. And you're right, it's hard to speculate.

My areas of concern are: I submitted joint tax returns instead of tax transcripts, 3 months of joint bank statements rather than 2 years, and didn't include the lease of the apartment we were living in before we bought our home. I'm terrified they'll deny on the basis of "evidence not covering the full 2 years". I know an RFE is far more likely, but I'm anxiety-prone. I regret not reading this forum more extensively before mailing.

I think you would get an RFE, not a denial.  They usually want to see bank statements covering the entire time. If they do ask, send all pages, even blank ones. As far as your lease, if they ask for it you can send it. Neither of these is a deal breaker. It might delay your approval a little, but that's not the worst thing that can happen. My packet was small, compared to other peoples', and that makes me wonder if I sent enough or did they send too much! Lol! It's all going to work out. ROC is usually approved, so don't worry.
