Hi everyone!

We are about to file for the petition to remove condition. My husband's GC expires in March and we are going to mail out the application tomorrow. When we receive the NOA does that give us any type of extension?  Anyone knows what the process time is from start to end with Covid restrictions being applied? We are also expecting our first baby and included OB letter to state such and medical records with Ultrasounds as well.

Thank you

Fari

If your husband's green card expires in March, it's far too early to send your application. You can send it 90 days before his GC expires and not before.  When you do send it, the NOA will include a 24 month extension.

I just sent out our application - USPS Priority express. It will be there tomorrow. I'm so glad to have sent if - finally!  I don't know how many times I checked and rechecked everything in it. So glad that's over and it's (literally) out of my hands!😌

Just sent out our finished application this morning! Nothing like going to the UPS store at 7:30AM.

I'm feeling massively relieved to have it sent out - now to wait for the NOA!

I just sent my package today (09/15) by UPS. I hope everything is good and the waiting game will not be too bad.

Gosh, UPS is expensive. Wish all of us the best of luck!

UPS delivered my package today! I am like counting every second to get the extension letter!!!

How long did y'all have to wait before having your case numbers and then the extension letter? Thanks all!

Hey guys!

About to send my package tomorrow.

What type of clips did you use? Did you also use tabs for each form and evidence? Any recommendations?

I am due in November and I have been told it could be earlier based on baby's and my health. We were told to apply in November at the last interview. We don't want to wait until last minute given the unpredictable nature of the pregnancy and want to take one thing off my plate and my mind. What is the negative impact of applying a month earlier?

Thank you just checked and did not know they can automatically reject a filing if done before 90 days. :( We were told to file in November for March expiring GC by the immigration officer who interviewed us. Our baby is due in November or can be early as October. We did not want to hold the filing given the uncertainty with pregnancy and added stress of filing for the petition.

We used paper clips to hold each section together and an ACCO clip to bind the whole thing.  We put tabs, to identify each section, at the bottoms of relevant pages. USCIS recommends this and two holes at the tops of the pages are "appreciated" by them.  "

  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.

I think both addresses are lockboxes. I sent it to the one that's appropriate for USPS.

Hi,

Im pretty sure you have to send your application 90 days within the expiration date of the green card otherwise they will reject. So if the expiration date is march, the window would be like january-march to send. So even if you send it early, which it sounds like you are, there is a high chance of it being rejected! I would double check before sending anything.

Thank you I got guidance from the other users. I did not realize that early submission will be automatically rejected. We are now waiting until after baby is born.

If you file a joint i751 application even one day early USCIS will reject your application 100% of the time.

Your baby’s birth certificate will be strong proof of your bonafide marriage so waiting to include a copy in your i751 application will be well worth the wait.
